Katy Perry maakte het eerste mannelijke boegbeeld van CoverGirl bekend!

Hoewel het beautymerk niet in Nederland te koop is, kennen we het allemaal wel. Als je ooit in de VS bent geweest dan heb je het vast wel eens gezien en ook America's Next Top Model kijkers herkennen het merk meteen.

Tot nu toe waren enkel vrouwen het boegbeeld van CoverGirl maar daar is deze week verandering in gekomen. Niemand minder dan CoverGirl gezicht Katy Perry maakte haar nieuwe collega bekend: James Charles.

Deze 17-jarige jongen begon ongeveer een jaar geleden een Instagram account genaamd JCharlesbeauty waarop je kunt zien hoe hij met behulp van make-up de meest flawless looks creëert.

One year ago, he boldly chose to launch his Instagram to the world, using transformative, dynamic makeup looks to showcase the many facets of his personality, serving as an inspiration to anyone who might have been afraid to do the same", aldus CoverGirl over James Charles.

 

I am so beyond excited and overwhelmed and happy and astonished and of course, SHOOK, to announce that I am the newest face of @covergirl. First ever male ambassador for the brand and I am so honored and excited to be working with such an iconic brand. I started my Instagram one year ago to inspire others and as an artistic outlet to challenge myself creatively. I truly hope that this shows that anyone and everyone can wear makeup and can do anything if you work hard.
