Julia Restoin Roitfeld kreeg in mei 2012 haar eerste kindje, genaamd Romy Nicole, samen met haar vriend Robert Konjic. De dochter van Vogue Paris' ex-hoofdredacteur en nu freelancer Carine Roitfeld pronkte met haar zwangere buik in een covershoot voor i-D Magazine (zie hieronder).
Tijdens haar zwangerschap kwam ze erachter dat er te weinig wordt gedaan voor zwangere vrouwen. "There will be a glamorous and artistic vision at the centre," vertelt Julia Restoin Roitfeld. "I came up with the idea this summer. I realised that there were lots of maternity and mother blogs, but none of them reflected my lifestyle and my tastes. And with my baby as a constant source of inspiration, I wanted to share my ideas with other parents or expecting parents."
